Tahani Salim

Tahani Salim is a Palestinian-Swiss actress and theatre maker with a long career across the Arab world and Europe. She began her artistic journey in Amman, where she co-founded The Public Theatre and worked as an actress, acting coach, director, and media coordinator. Her work in theatre and film has been presented at numerous international festivals, earning her several Best Actress awards for both stage and screen, most recently at the Kuwait International Monodrama Festival 2025 for her solo piece Deep Voices.

Tahani has performed in theatre, film, and television productions in Jordan, Lebanon, Germany, and Switzerland. She is particularly drawn to roles that explore identity, memory, and resilience, and she has created and performed multiple solo works across the Middle East and Europe, establishing herself as a performer with a strong emotional presence.

Alongside her artistic work, she holds a BA in Social and Communication Arts from the University of Lucerne and worked for 15 years as a TV news anchor for the German broadcaster DW TV. Her practice continues to weave personal narrative, performance, and artistic research into powerful and engaging roles on stage and in film.
